Meet Sebrina Johnson

Sebrina is a graduate from the University of Kansas, where she earned a BFA in Graphic Design and two masters’ degrees, one in CIS and Telecommunications Management. For over 25 years, she had a successful career in Information Technology as an Implementation Manager at several Fortune 500 companies, including AT&T, Sprint, Century Link and BCBS of Kansas City.

Sebrina’s love of the culinary arts started as a child of 10 years old, and she continues to enjoy enhancing others’ knowledge of farm-to-table pursuits, including the lost art of homesteading, gardening, and canning. "Food is a way to communicate my respect and love for the flavors of food. Eating food should be a culinary experience. The flavors should dance off your tongue,” she says.

She currently runs a successful catering business called Savvy Girl Kitchen Company. Previously, she was the owner operator of the Redvine Cajun Restaurant and Jazz House, formerly located on 18th and Vine in Kansas City, MO.

Eager to give back to her community, Sebrina is the co-founder of the Rays Awareness Foundation with her son Shane Ray, a first-round draft pick for the Denver Broncos. The mission of the organization is to inspire kids to dream, no matter their circumstances, and assist youth and their families in underserved areas to reach their full potential through education, health, and sports programs.
